Special focus series- Shoulders and upper back
7:00-8:00 pm Tuesday 13th Aug- 3rd Sep
A great series for those of you stuck behind a computer, cyclists, those that do heavy or repetitive labouring tasks or those worried about the hunch that has 'appeared' and want to know what to do about it.

This series explores the movements of the upper back and shoulders and how to start addressing the tightness in your upper back rather than hiding it with the 'shoulders back, chest up ' mantra for 'good posture'.
(No hanging experience required- but this class is great preparation for bringing back your inner monkey!)

Next series starts: 13th August
$15 per class or $55 for the series
Move Better- Feel Better Class Series (new start date 13th Aug)

Special focus series- Feet, walking and minimal shoes
7:00-8:00 pm Tuesday 13th August
This series will break down some of the movements of walking and explore some exercises to help ease your knees, build a butt and remove the chair (shaped body) from your walk!
This class is for everyone but especially good if you have painful feet, want to learn about minimal shoes or you tend to get uncomfortable when out walking.

$15 per class or $55 for the series
Session 5: Biking Body Tune Up

Just as your bike needs a good tune up now and again, so does your body.

Your bike is very much like a chair in the way it casts your whole body into a repeated geometry. Doing the same thing over and over again means you miss out on a whole spectrum of movement nutrients. There are parts of your body that are sedentary even though your heart rate can be going through the roof. Not all of your body parts are receiving the benefits from your workout and your body adapts to this narrow range of mechanical input.

- Join this class to bring some movement nutrients to casted parts of your body.
- Find out the best cross training exercise for cyclists to balance out the effects of cycling in the body... and it isn't running or stretching.
- Get some tips on body position on and off the bike
- Find out the best home exercise equipment to use to mobilise your hips and back ...and it is free!
- Rethink your non-exercise time

Join this class to bring some balance to your movement diet from head to toe.

Cost $15

Shoulder and upper back- 4 week special focus series
Tuesdays 8:00-9:00am
29 Jan, 5, 12, 19 Feb 2019
This 4 week series looks more closely at the movements of the shoulder, neck and upper back and some corrective exercise to bring new movement and awareness to these movement starved parts of our upper bodies.

Become familiar with specific upper body moves to help counter the effects of computer work/driving/the general lack of movement of our upper bodies in modern lives.

The focus will be on mobilising and stabilising the shoulder girdle and upper back and for you to become familiar with helpful moves you can incorporate into your non-exercise time, at work or at home. A perfect way to unwind your body from the effects of the working week.
