Massage and Movement Sessions
Massage can feel great and is a wonderful tool to reduce stress and aid in feelings of relaxation. People also seek massage to help ease the feeling of tense, 'tight muscles' aching after a week in the office, getting back into the garden after winter etc.
So often these tense areas are related to an underlying movement pattern that is creating this feeling of tension. It could be an area that is not getting enough movement and has become achey and stiff, or it could be tension produced by your body to create a sense of stability if an area doesn't feel strong enough.
Whatever the cause, these massage and movement sessions can be a useful tool to help you understand what is happening in your body as a whole- not just the bit that might be crying out for attention in the moment.
